Reforming Goods and Services Procurement 26 May, 2016
A total of 40 business representatives turned out recently to attend the ACT Government’s second workshop to explore in detail ways to improve key aspects of goods and services procurement. The workshop was hosted as part of the Smart Modern Strategic (SMS) Procurement Reform Program.
A live questionnaire was used at the workshop to gauge industry views on the use of government panels, types of panel arrangements and tender response times. Attendees also participated in a Question & Answer session with a panel of senior ACT Government staff (David Purser, Rosemary Kennedy, Amy Phillips, Rita Brokans, Graham Tanton, Greg Hammond, and Rodney Bray). Feedback from participants was that they valued the opportunity to pose questions directly to the panel and hear responses first hand.
Work is underway to collate quantitative and qualitative data from the workshop, and to further refine strategies and activities.
